ELS - European labelling system

Baumann was established in Switzerland in 1982 and has grown into a prominent global supplier and manufacturer of industrial packaging machines and self-adhesive labelling systems.

Baumann has a long-standing history of supplying and integrating high-quality labeling solutions built by ELS (European Labelling System). For example, Baumann has distributed systems like the ELS 521 and 532 cross-web labellers, which integrate directly into thermoforming packaging lines to reduce labor costs and eliminate manual double-handling.

While globally established, Baumann has built a particularly strong footprint in Australia, operating for over 30 years with its core engineering service team based in Sydney, alongside agents in Melbourne, Brisbane and Perth. They specialize heavily in automated packaging lines for the food (meat, dairy, produce), pharmaceutical, and general manufacturing industries.

In addition to its work with ELS, Baumann operates extensively under its own CWL brand (Baumann Packaging Systems / CWL Labelling Machines). They engineer a diverse portfolio of stand-alone, wrap-around, bottom-up, and advanced high - sped  cross-web film labellers.
